Command of the CCA

The CCA is a military organization and is loosely based on the original series. The Imperious Leader has total control and the responsibility for all ships and sectors.

CCA Backstory

There is no Quorum as they were all killed or taken prisoner on Caprica when the attack occurred. Military law is in place until the fleet can find a home or the planet Earth. The group is made up of original series Battlestars, the re-imagined Battlestars and Cylon baseships. Per our back story we had jumped the fleet and ended up in between the two Baseships. Instead of destroying us they ask us for asylum. These were rouge Battlestars we had heard about that defected and felt the human race and Cylons should work out their differences without war. As they were being hunted like us they joined the fleet and continue to look for a home planet they can call their own.

The Imperious leader has an advisory council to help keep the peace made up of the following personnel:

Fleet Admiral Colonial

IL Series Cylon Fleet Commander

Fleet Operations officer

Fleet Communications Officer

Commandant of the marines

Fleet Membership Services Officer

New Quorum delegates

These Officers will convene to help make major decisions and to help make policy. The body is to help the Imperious Leader make good and fair decisions. The Imperious Leader has final say.

Distribution of groups into sectors or Outposts and control of the group

This group was created to bring together fans of the Series Battlestar Galactica original and re-imagined series. But more than that as a way for friends to get together and have fun. Many of the other BSG groups have had the same idea but in the end find themselves gridlocked by the politics that they put in place. This is the reason that the CCA is designed more like a military organization with the one final vote that will approve or disapprove.

Fairness and friendship is at core of our endeavor and this is the reason for the advisory council. The council helps to keep that in place.

Distribution of the group across the world is important. Two tight of a grip and it is no longer fun. Not enough and it falls apart. To be in the middle of that is where the sectors come in.

A sector can be assigned to any city. No other sector can be within 30 miles in any direction of another unless specified by the CCA command in the Sector launch form.

The final decision if a sector is to be created falls to the Fleet Operations officer and/or the IL. A sector has to have at least one ship to be active.

All sector Commanders or their assigned Executive Officer must send in a bimonthly (even months) sitrep to maintain their status as a sector in the CCA. The sitrep form is located on the front page of the website.

In the case where a Sector does not report in for 6 months or three executive reports and is not responding to messages from command they will be considered lost in action and either replaced or the sector will be placed out of service and dry-docked until further notice. Members will be assigned to the closest Sector and or placed on the Battlestar Terrenus.

SETTELING OF NEW SECTORS AND THE CREATION OF COLONIES.

Settling of a new sector:

The settling of a new sector should be considered much like settling a new planet. As the Sector Commander you are in charge of everything that goes on in your sector. Beginning with filling out the application and submitting it to the Fleet Operations officer or The Imperious Leader.

The responsibilities of a Sector Commander are as follows.

Communication as required with the home world and CCA main base.

The launching of ships in your Sector and working out necessary details. Collecting Sitreps and reporting to the home world.

Handling discrepancy’s and conflicts between the members in the sector.

The Sector Commander has the right to remove any member from there sector. It is not required but is requested that the Commander confer with the Fleet Personnel Officer or the Imperious leader. At that time the decision can be made to remove the member from the CCA in total or send them to another sector.

Following the idealism of the group and reinforcing to the members that this is “just for fun and not real world”

Staying true to the Battlestar costuming. Not canon but not mixing with other fandoms. Such as Cylon helmet on a storm trooper costume. If in doubt, ask the IL or Membership Services until a Fleet Quartermaster is assigned.

Recruiting when possible, turning in Sit reps on a consistent basis

Delegate as much as possible. Not just to have less work for yourself but to make it more fun for everyone involved. If people are involved in the process they will stay interested.

Set up of a Facebook page under Colonial Cylon Alliance Sector <Your number>

The leadership of the CCA stays heavily involved in what is going on in all sectors to support what you are doing. From giveaways to the needed handouts we are there to support you.

As the CCA increases in sixe the sectors will come under the command of the Colinies. There will be 13 Colinies and the Cylon Homeworld to be designated at a later time.

is Captain. Anyone who launches either of these ships will attain this level of rank as the ship launches.

Promotions in the CCA

come from your help and participation in the club and volunteer work in the community in the name of the chapter. Once every 6 months the CCA Leadership convene a meeting to promote and give out special awards and medals to the members that have shown interest and dedication to the organization. At this time the schedule will be at DragonCon in September and at MegaCon Orlando in March
